The day started at 7.35am with the arrangement of the hall. There were altogether five stations which were distributed for easy movement and coordination from the door: registration, vital signs and BMI station, laboratory for FBS and the counselling stations. Activities started at 8:00am, with a word of prayer and welcome speech from the President. She explained to the people what NHELPA is all about and its objectives She explained to participants the way of movement in the hall, from the registration table, to the vital signs and body mass index table, to the blood sugar evaluation table and finally to the one of the consultants. The first participant started for demonstration. One or two members of NHELPA handled each of the stations. At the end of the day 82 people were screened for high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.
The event was a success in terms of the organization and the participation from the members of the NHELPA team, health educations on the different topics were effective and the participants were very active as they listened and asked questions for clarification. Of the 82 participants, tested for fasting Blood sugar, 91.5% had Normal status, 2.4% had impaired and 6.1% where prediabetic
